Caribbean Airlines was founded in September 27, 2006, but only started its operations on January 1st of the following year. The airline pioneered the one-way fare that is inclusive of taxes and other fees, therefore providing flexible combinations and options for extended stay. At the beginning of its operations, Caribbean Airlines only has 128 weekly departures serving 10 destinations with only five Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Headquartered in Iere House in Piarco, Caribbean Airlines operate flights to the Caribbean, Central America, North America, and South America. Its hubs are Piarco International Airport and Norman Manley International Airport; and the airline operates with a fleet of 17 aircrafts serving 18 destinations.
