G Adventures Review
Inspired by his momentous adventures, Bruce Poon Tip founded the company in 1990 with the aim of giving travelers a piece of the well founded travel experience he had in the past. The company underwent a grueling legal battle, which revolved around their name in 2008. Gap Inc., an American clothing line, sued Gap Adventures over the company’s name, which allegedly used the Gap Inc. brand, without their permission.
This legal battle forced the online travel agency to change their name to G Adventures.
The Founder and Chief Executive
Born in Madrid, Spain, Poon Tip is known to be an authority on social entrepreneurship. His expertise in business is rooted on his childhood, when at 14-years old, Poon Tip was awarded by a non profit organization with “Junior Achievement” for selling 10,000 pieces of “Weather Worm,” a bookmark for drugstores counters in Calgary. Moreover, he earned his degree in Tourism at Tourism College, now known as CDI College in Calgary, Alberta.
What people are saying
Based on online reviews, the company seems to be fine. However, there are several customer complaints about their services. Moreover, disappointed customers expressed their dismay about their experiences with the travel agency.
According to some customer reviews, the company was careless and irresponsible for not proactively updating customers about the status of their trip. Customers even shared their awful experiences of being stranded in an unfamiliar place, because the company negligently failed to update them about their cancelled flights.

Based on this G Adventures review, the company is still awesome considering all the travel genre they offer. However, providing a wide range of options does not justify the alleged unprofessional service customers experienced.
