Background, History, and More Information
Secret Places’ CEO and Founder Michael Bendixen established the travel company with Beatriz Parra Stucky in 2000. Their aim at the time was to spread the art and culture of great travel by providing “exceptional” hotels and lodgings to travel lovers and enthusiasts. Bendixen, who had lived in the United States, Germany, Brazil, and Portugal, can speak German, English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish fluently and had held various positions in the computer industry and in management after graduating with a degree in business administration from the University of Cologne/Germany.
The rest of the Secret Places team can be viewed from their About page, from their official website. Secret Places is online travellers’ guide with a ready customer support system, so searching for your preferred hotel or holiday home can be accomplished by either booking online or through calling their hotline.
What Users Have to Say and Their Official Website
Unfortunately, there are little to no Secret Places reviews online from which to base our opinion on. In this case, we will rely on the general appearance of their official website to come up with our own Secret Places reviews.
Called your “authentic places to stay,” Secret Places has hotels you can search for by destination and whatever interests and activities you have. You can request their advice right at their search engine, in case you can’t find a hotel or simply need additional help from their team.
You can choose to change the site’s language to either Deutsch or Spanish. Each hotel has the basic photographs and information, accompanied by details on their history, culture, sports, which are sorted by region and hotel for your reference.
Secret Places’ travel blog, found here, features the best places to stay, insider city guides, and more culture and lifestyle articles.

With no Secret Places reviews online, I wish that they had more feedback about the services of their hotels. Their information about hotels share the things that made them select the latter, but we cannot discover what the company or the hotels are like, based on people’s experiences.
