When traveling to a foreign country, especially for the first time, you want to ensure that every travel company and airline you book with is able to take care of you and your requests properly. No traveler wants to be stuck in a faraway country without any way to contact their travel agency or airline. Such experiences can ruin an otherwise lovely trip. Fortunately, more and more companies are doing their best to improve their customer service quality, making the lives of travelers a whole lot easier. Is Vayama among those companies? Find out by reading the latest Vayama reviews that I have gathered below.
Vayama is an online travel agency that mainly focuses on providing the most in-demand travel services to travelers from all over the world. They offer flight tickets from different airlines, hotels, car rental services, and holiday deals offered by their affiliated international companies. Vayama does not sell the services, instead, they simply connect the travelers to companies who offer the said services.
The company is headquartered in the city of San Jose, California and began operations in 2007.
Tanmay Kar is the Chief Financial Officer of Vayama. Aside from this company, he also founded Cheapest Online, Inc. From 2007 to 2012 he was the Managing Director & CFO of Travix.
What people are saying
The Vayama reviews were a mix of both positive and negative. For those who didn’t experience any problem with booking with the company, they praised the wide array of hotels, airlines, and other travel service companies to choose from.
Unfortunately, human as we are, we are all bound to make errors. And that’s when the problem comes in. According some travelers, Vayama “doesn’t care” about those who have already paid for their bookings. Re-bookings, cancellations, and are very difficult to do and their calls are often ignored or dropped by Vayama’s agents.
Yelp reviewer, Kelvin C., expressed his disappointment with the company with the following review:
“I had a time change to one of my flights and wouldn’t be able to make that changed flight. Long story short, after multiple hours on the phone, being hung up on, and customer service repeatedly refusing to either change my flight or give me a refund, I’m SOL. Any other agency would EASILY be able to change this flight as all airlines have a no fee change policy for time changes to flights.”
He gave Vayama a 1-star rating.
Vayama’s website allows travelers to easily search and book flights and other travel services. In the middle of their homepage, you will find the flight booking form which you may fill up in case you are in need of a flight to whatever destination you want. You may choose to book a round trip, one way, and multi-course flight by clicking on the radio buttons located at the top of the booking form.
To view their other services, simply click on the appropriate tab found on the upper portion of the page. Click here to visit their website.

If you value your time and money while traveling, you may want to reconsider your decition about booking with this company. As per the Vayama reviews I found online, people were not very satisfied with the customer service quality that they received. Dropped and ignored calls from inconvenienced customers is not an indication of a good company.
